If the tape isn't mounted at the time a backup job starts, Bacula issues a
message asking for a mount. When the mount is performed some times a very long
time elapses without any apparent action. If I issue a second mount command

Hello everyone,
as a new bacula user, I must first say that this project's documentation
is simply staggering. This is a very nice change from the usual
situation, which is basically "read the code if you want docs". :-)
Anyway, I have, during my tests, run into a major showstopper, and half

Hello all,
I recently started production and the first thing we backed up was our
fileserver. It's got a pair of RAIDs serving everyone's home directory and
several other things over NFS. The full backup totals about 600GB which

All,
We recently upgraded the machine running Bacula to Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 5 from RHEL 3 and now see a much slower transfer rate during
backups. The version of Bacula is unchanged, 1.38.8, except for
re-compilation against the updated libraries.
One backup, which ran at 8772.2 to 12671.3 KB

Hi there,
I've accidentally (read: stupidly) purged files associated with a
particular client from my bacula catalog.
We are using version 1.36.2
How can I repopulate our catalog with this data? I have the relevant (LTO1)
tapes to hand.
If this is not possible, can I recover my data in some

This doesn't work at this time,
I like to have the backup job to fail if the script which runs after the
job had some problems.
The AbortJobOnError seems not to work for the After script.
How can I do that?
My script has a exit 1 for a failure. For the Before script it works fine.

Hi,

What does it mean?
How do I solve it?
Thanks in advance...

I'd like to backup my web server to my local system. So far everything seems to
work fine, i've setup encryption via TLS (certificates, etc) and the services
running under Fedora 7.
Unfortunately, there is one thing that i don't quite understand while reading
the manual. I don't understand how
