Hello, I'm using Bacula for some time, right now I'm having a little
problem with big size backups.
In backups with sizes more than 100Gb I got "Broken pipe" errors and
the connection to the SD dies :\ I have 2 machines with that problem,
one running windows and one linux.
FD is 1.38.8 (windows)
I've got a "Scratch" Pool configured
Pool {
Name = Scratch
Type = Backup
}
I don't understand how to use it though. Do I need to add Volumes to this
pool before Bacula will use it to provide Volumes to other pools? Will it
automatically name the Volumes from a barcode? When a volume (tape) is

Hi all,
I'm still fighting with the auto-labeling problem. This is what I want: each
job should stay on a separate file with the name of the job and the time of
the backup.
This is my configuration:
(storage daemon)
Device {
Name = mammuth_device
Archive Device = /backup/mammuth

Please disregard my questions as after re reading your full post it
looks like you found a bug as a few things do not make sense.

Hello,
Building my first rescue CD on a linux machine (RHEL4 Update3) i have
seen that the VLAN tag support was not included. The scripts that made
the CD does not read the vlans that we have created on the server. My

Hi list,
i have added a second Tape-Changer (16*LTO3) to my bacula-environment.
I've createt a second tape pool and switched 4 of my 18 jobs to the
second changer by setting Pool and Storage resource to the new ones.
I want that the two changers are used concurrently for there jobs! The

Hello!
We are using bacula-dir and bacula-sd (bacula-2.0.3) on FreeBSD-4.11 and
bacula-fd (bacula-2.0.3) on Windows 2000 Server.
We made backup entire of our server but we can't restore files from
backups. This is a error message of restore job:
