Hello,
I'm running bacula 2.03 on FreeBSD. All is working well, except i'm
getting a periodic error about not being able to find any appendable
volumes. This time it occurred with my catalog backup, i've included the job
and pool definition below. My issue with this is before the job starts

Hi,
Bacula doesn't mark a volume used at the exact time you specified as
this would require it to be constantly checking for expired volumes
which isn't necessary.
Rather, it'll mark it used as soon after the expiry time as it notices
it. Normally this is the next time it goes to check that vo

Bacula does not delete file volumes by itself. (IIRC, there is a
feature request, though).

Greetings!
I have a question, regarding how to get bacula to *not* recycle any
volumes, but purge them when they pass a certain age.
Though I am experimenting with how long to hold jobs and catalogs,
what I want is for bacula to write a filename on my USB external hard
drives (which are

To any of you Slackware users, a couple of months ago I created a few
Slackware packages with bacula version 2.0.3 since apparently no one's
created any at the time I decided to check for them.
You can see details or download them here at (mysql and client only

My diff pool has a voluseduration of 4 days (96h). I just got a mail

Hello,
Yesterday, I released the source tar files and Win32 binaries to the
bacula-beta area of Source Forge. The main change in this version compared
to version 2.1.20 is a reworked locking mechanism in the SD reservations and
despooling systems. It should give considerably more concurrency
Hi,
The system and db logs doesn't tell me anything about this problem, like
all the director processes or thread are locked concurrently.
If I restart only bacula-dir without restarting bacula-sd and 16
bacula-fd the system restart working fine.
Now I have already restarted bacula-dir and all w

Hi all,
I've installed with rpm, on a Linux Fedora Core 6, a bacula-dir and
bacula-sd daemon.
On this server there is also a Mysql-5.0.x server that correctly talks
with bacula daemons.
Also there is a RAID-5 partition of a size of 1TB where I save my backups.
The server make backups of 16 bacula
