It would indeed be a great space saving feature.

It is a tape Volume. I am setting up another test environment to shake this
out but have not yet had a chance to run it. I will keep the list poste

Title: Files table hit 4GB limit
Hi, one of our clients' backups has been chugging along for a year or
two now and it appears the 'Files' table in mySQL hit its 4GB limit.
Any suggesstions on how to fix this? I ran the purge command in
bconsole but I think it locked up or hung after that.
Hey Bacula users,
I installed Bacula 1.38.11 on a new system and when I tried to start
bacula-dir I got the following error:
"usr/sbin/bacula-dir: error while loading shared libraries:
libmysqlclient_r.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or

My Setup:

Doing a "list jobtotals" shows only about 5 million files total.

Hello list!
I could not find hints towards this in the manual, and wonder if this
can be done with bacula:
I would like to prevent duplicate files from being backuped to the
Storage. For example: User A has a zip-File in his Download folder, and
the same zip-File in his user folder. Can I prev

Hi List
I have to (longtime) archive data on tape. To be sure that the data
which was written on tape is ok i'd like to run a verify job after the
successfull backup/archive job. The verify job should compare the data
of the source with the data written on tape to ensure the data is save
