I have a new machine where I want to run bacula (that is the director,
the storage pools, the database), and wonder if anyone has any advice
on how to move over to it.
For example, would this work?
1) install bacula
2) copy configuration files (*.conf) from old machine
3) migrate my database from

Either of the two suggestions offered to you would have worked ('add' to
add the tapes back, mentioned by the other gentleman) -- however this
one destroys the data on the tape. By my reading of your original query,
that is not a problem, but it theore

Does work with GNU make though. I must have just figured that Bacula was
one of those packages that only worked with GNU -- good to see that it
isn't (though I believe at present, it only builds with GCC -- am I
right on that one?).

It is a problem on all platforms if you don't have any of the options.
Fixed in the current CVS.

Check the documentation on the 'relabel' command.
If that does not suit, do an 'mt rewind' and 'mt weof'. See `man mt` if
you need assistance.

I'm using GMail and if you simply select reply, you'll be replying
directly to the author. You probably want to click on 'Reply to all'
which includes the list (bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net) in the
recipients.
Kind regards

I've posted a source rpm for this for anyone wishing to do some test
builds. Personally I built SuSE only with no issues although I did
commit a change in the spec file from the tarball due to changes in the
sqlite scripts. The docs are still a placeholder at 1.38.11.

Hello,
It seems that a volume life time in bacula is in fact its life time in the
catalog database. So, I would like to know is there would be possible to
fully recycle a volume (restart to the beginning of the volume by deleting
the datas).
Thanks.

Maybe this is really three requests but I think they are all related.
I've been given a work order to report on Bacula results.

Hi Jens,
I have the same problem with one of my OS X servers. But on mine, in
spite of the error message, the daemon *is* running. The backups run
well and I have no other problems.
On my other OS X servers I don't have this problem. However, I did not
compile the daemon on each of them. I

Hello,
I had ClientRunBeforeJob set to run a Ruby script on my Windows
desktop from testing long ago. I upgraded to the latest client
(nice installer by the way) and this would cause Bacula to exit
every time.
After removing the ClientRunBeforeJob instruction from the
Director it seems perfectly
