Hi all,
I'm having some problem using Bacula 1.38.1 to auto-label Volumes on
disk during a manual full backup. It was working at one point, but
now...no dice. I'm also having a problem with the storage daemon not
finding a appendable volume. This was also working...at one point. I

Actually, even when there is no backup running, the restore job fails,
anyone have a clue? Did I fuck up the database while trying to restore
while backuping? Same crash everytime I try to restore the same job as I
tried to run while segfault.

While trying to restore (building the directory structure), while a
backup is running, the director gets a segmentation fault. Is it not
suppose to be possible to restore while doing backup? (for the record: I
got a changer with 2 streamers, and able to run two backup jobs
simultaneous):

Hello,
It looks to me like you used Windows path separators in your FileSet. This is
unfortunately rather fatal for restoring. Please check your FileSet, then
carefully re-read the FileSet chapter of the manual. Once you get that
right, things should go more smoothly. See below for more ...
Hi List,
I've tried to restore some files. I've looked for the "last known good" full
backup:
4911 Full135,843 4,699,077,315 OK 27-Nov-05 14:25 ws4grue-fd
restore --> 3 --> 4911 -->
And then

We're using bacula 1.36.2
Any ideas?

Hello all-

Hi all,
Have anybody succeeded in restoring to windows in that version?
Restore tree is beeing build, but listing, cd'ing or restoring fails with all
windows clients no matter which console is used for requesting the restore.
Listing just returns nothing and no errors.
CD returns the following:
Thank you for all the suggestions.
The "Volume Use Duration" sounds really nice, since
it gives also the flexibility to store several full backups scheduled for
the same day to go into the same volume
(which not everybody may want, but it fits my needs :)

Daniel,
First, thanks for the very fast reply.
I must admit I am new to bacula, so I must be missing something but
my understanding is such: While one _can_ define several "Device"s in
one storage daemon configuration, I cannot see how can you specify
which exact device to use in a given "Job" s

Uh, we use one SD that controls LOTS of disk-based devices and 3 LTO

Hello all,
I have the following question: I am trying to set up a bacula
configuration where one storage daemon has control over two different
devices (with different media formats, AIT-3 and DLT).
AFAIU that does not seem possible and it seems that I need to run one

Hello,
I think the simplest thing to do is to delete the warning message, which I
have done. You can do the same in your code by editing file:
/src/findlib/find_one.c
and delete the Jmsg() at lines 242 and 243.
You probably should check your FileSet to make sure you are not explicitly
