Hi Please report to bugs.bacula.org. I had that behaviour some time ago, too. It was the controller card (SE) and the drive (LVD). Writing worked, reading (restoring) did not. Lots of phase change errors in the messages. After replacing the controller with a LVD one (29160) it worked instantly.
