I recently started using autoconf and automake.
So i updated to the current version.
Its autconf 2.53 and automake 1.6.2.
Everything works fine (after you get used to autoconf and automake ;))
But i encounter one strange problem.
In the configure.in file, I AC_SUBST the var. PLUGINDIR.

Hi,
I am using automake and autoconf to prepare a software library.
One of my subdirectories will be using the mpiCC compiler, but the
rest of the subdirectories will be using gcc. How do I acheive this
using Automake?

I've been looking thru the docs and I I haven't found a way to do the
following.
I am using automake and autoconf.
I am assuming:
- "build" means the arch of the build machine
- "host" the arch of the place where built stuff gets run
autoconf detects build != host and sets up for a cross-compi
