What You Don
sa 0.5 yet.
You have to edit /etc/asound.conf:
change
switch("S/PDIF output", false)
to
switch("S/PDIF output", true)
after a alsactl restore the changes take effect.
In your favorite mixer you have to pull the ADC Playback and Wave
Playback up for digital out.
Have fun!

Mein SuSE ist die 8.0
Unter SuSE 7.1 lief das problemlos.
Kann man da etwas machen?

Also, here's a random question that may be only a false lead: what UID

I got a rme hammerfall dsp rpm from ebay (not yet, actually) under the

Hi,
I would like to get 24 bit output working with
a C-Media PCI CMI8738 (model 37) and alsa-driver-0.9beta10.
Are there any userland-tools to send a 24 bit pcm file to the card?
I've allreadey tried mad. It said:

Than
it? There are no comments in the source that 24

output is disabled.
In snd_cmipci_playback_spdif_prepare() it looks like that CM_SPD24SEL
is allready used!?
I've a simple S/P DIF test-setup available and some spare time
left...
