alsa-driver-0.9.0beta8a and alsa-lib-0.9.0beta8a solved my problem in
compiling alsa-lib-0.9.0beta8.

Hi, I get this error when compiling alsa-lib-0.9.0beta8. I have
alsa-lib-0.9.0beta6 compiled, installed and working fine

I upgraded from Mandrake kernel-2.4-13-7mdk to kernel-2.4.13-12mdk.
When I recompiled alsa0.9.0beta9, I get the following error.
checking for current directory... /usr/local/src/alsa-driver-0.9.0beta9
checking for directory with kernel source... /usr/src/linux-2.4.13

Since upgrading to Mandrake kernel 2.4.13-12mdk and now
2.4.16.2mdk-1-1mdk, I get the same result with configure
as shown below. Can anyone help. Getting deperate.
[root@darkside alsa-driver-0.9.0beta10]# ./configure
--with-kernel=/usr/src/linux
--with-moddir=/lib/modules/2.4.16.2mdk-1-1mdk
