Every time I reboot the pc. I have to go into aumix and unmute everything.
Within AlsaMix everything is fine.
Is there a way for me to prevent this from happening?

There's more than one way to do it, but on my redhat system i have this in
/etc/rc.d/rc.local:
/bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L
put that in your rc.local. after you set the mixer settings the way you
like, execute this command, which saves the settings:
/bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc

Do you mean, that alsamixer (!) has unmuted channels after rebot, but
aumix does not? This is very strange in my eyes.

Hi,
Here's an update of my progress so far:
I downloaded alsa-xmms-0.9.12, compiled and installed it.
I also grabbed the latest cvs version of alsa just to be sure

After some changes I was able to get xmms working. Though

This is true. I can unmute all the channels in AlsaMix and AumixHowever
when I reboot the machine I have to go into Aumix and unmute everytime. I do
nothing in AlsaMix.
For the record I am using Mandrake 9.1.

Hi,
What distribution would you recommend enabling me to have a troubleless
alsa-driver installation?
I currently run Mandrake 9.1, with a Yamaha YMF744 soundcard chip. I'm
fed up to fight with my monitor for having the alsa driver working
properly... which is not the case... :-)
Best regards

Hello everyone,
In case any one else has the problem that I sent to the list on 10/24,
I just wanted you to know the solution that corrected this problem.
In order to find the various undefined functions, I had to place the
library name of the "glib" functions in the Makefile that did the compile
Hi,
I've scoured the net and this mailing list for information about how to
enable AC3/DTS passthrough on the S/PDIF connector on my new Creative
Mp3+ USB box.
The only thing I've been able to find is a vague reference saying
something that spdif passthrough is not available in usb-audio. Is th

Dear all,
has anyone had any experience with the Edirol-UA5 usb interface? A quick
google search revealed it should work, but I'd rather hear the opinion
of someone on this list before I go to my music store.
thanks for your advice
