Does ALSA support the Analog Devices ADI 1980? I am considering the
purchase of a motherboard (ASUS A7V8X-X) that comes integrated with
this chip, but I don't see it listed in the ALSA soundcard matrix. I

You could try unloading the ALSA modules and then plugging in the
Extigy. That's the only way my Audiophile USB will work.

Welp, I solved my problem by going back to 0.9.0rc6, which I determined
was the version I had working before (never delete anything is my
motto). It worked first time after a dead-stock installation. It also
works simultaneously with linmodem HSF drivers, so it wasn't any
