I recently upgraded my kernel to 2.2.20 and decided to upgrade my ALSA driver too. I
downloaded 0.9.0rc1.
I have a SB16 PnP. My first problems were with the compilation. It ended with
unresolved symbols in snd.o (vsnprintf) and snd-opl3-lib.o (snd_hwdep_new).

I just tried to checkout the cvs-version of alsa. I took the commands
from the alsa-website, but my cvs always says:
cvs [checkout aborted]: must specify at least one module or directory
I typed:
