RedHat's modifications to their kernel.
Directly after running configure, execute the following commands:
mkdir -p include/linux
Hi!
When I try to load the alsa module (version 0.9.6), modprobe fails with
the following error:

Hi Takashi,
I've tried all combinations such as pci=biosirq, bios
with and without acpi=noacpi.
Still no luck.
The card plays a very short portion of the wave file
(something in the range of half a second), then keeps
on looping that bit until aplay returns with an I/O
error.
Any idea what else

Hi all,
I have an HP laptop with an ali5451 soundchip. It
works fine in windows but fails on Linux :-(
I'm running alsa 0.9.2.
The error I get is always something like this:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] usr]# aplay
/usr/share/sounds/shutdown1.wav

Hi,
since I bought my Thinkpad R30 (~1 year ago) I tried to make ALSA work
on it, but until now (ALSA 0.9.1, Kernel 2.4.20 and Kernel 2.5.62) I
didn't succeed. Kernel 2.4's trident driver works just fine (but Kernel
2.5's doesn't).
After loading snd-ali5451 successfully, I dont get any sound out o
