Hi,

since I bought my Thinkpad R30 (~1 year ago) I tried to make ALSA work
on it, but until now (ALSA 0.9.1, Kernel 2.4.20 and Kernel 2.5.62) I
didn't succeed. Kernel 2.4's trident driver works just fine (but Kernel
2.5's doesn't).
After loading snd-ali5451 successfully, I dont get any sound out of the
speakers. Alsa-mixer seems to work, but it doesn't change anything real.

Here some output from lspci -vv:

00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: ALi Corporation M5451 PCI AC-Link Controller

PME(D0-,D1-,D2+,D3hot+,D3cold+)
                Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME-

Does anyone have any suggestions to get it work? I'd really like to have
sound in the future (Kernel 2.5+)...;)

Andre
