Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the Midisport 4x4. And i'll try to be as
complete as possible to place my question.
Now, the 4x4 is on the hardware list, and there it says that it is
supported, but in a discussion on the another list I came to the
conclusion that the 4x4 needs to load

Hi,
it seems that the m-audio midisport devices now come with new drivers (both on t

supplied cd and on the website) that do no longer work with extractfirmware

Hi all,
I was just wondering how can I force snd-usb-midi to assume device 2
slot, rather than the default 0 when spawning, since at boot time on my
machine USB gets initialized before alsa and therefore if I have
Midisport 2x2 hooked up, it ends up being my default /dev/dsp device

Ah thanks, I was confused by the hdsp card showing up as 2 midi devices,
and I didn't know about virmidi.
I'm following this howto now:

Hi all,
I'm trying to setup my midiman usb midisport 4X4. The driver seems to be
installed correctly:
#xi:/home/johannes# cat /proc/asound/cards
# 0 [DSP]: H-DSP - Hammerfall DSP
# RME Hammerfall DSP (Multiface) at 0xf380, irq 5

Olaf,
Are you sure the firmware patch applies to the 8x8?
I believe it applies to the 2x2 and 4x4 which if I
recall from reading mailing list posts both have the
same chipset. I don't recall the 8x8 being mentioned
as having that same chipset. Am I unaware of somthing?
I also have an 8x8 and so
i have redhat 7.3 with alsa 0.9 and i run a terratec
ews88mt/ice1712/envy24 as pci-soundcard(the analog devices are not
working yet, but that is another problem...) and the midisport 8x8 as an
usb midi-interface
and i do not get the midi interface to work. would could i have done
wrong ? i thing t

Hello,
I have a problem with Midisport UNO too. It is not the
same product than Midisport 1x1 that Alsa supports, and
I have been unable to make it work.
I have tested the various possibilities:
