Hi all,

I'm trying to setup my midiman usb midisport 4X4. The driver seems to be
installed correctly:

#xi:/home/johannes# cat /proc/asound/cards
# 0 [DSP ]: H-DSP - Hammerfall DSP
# RME Hammerfall DSP (Multiface) at 0xf3800000, irq 5
# 1 [4x4 ]: USB-Audio - MidiSport 4x4
# M-Audio MidiSport 4x4 at usb-00:1f.2-2

# xi:/home/johannes# cat /proc/asound/card1/midi0
# MidiSport 4x4
#
# Output 0
# Tx bytes : 0
# Output 1
# Tx bytes : 0
# Output 2
# Tx bytes : 0
# Output 3
# Tx bytes : 0
# Input 0
# Rx bytes : 0
# Input 1
# Rx bytes : 0
# Input 2
# Rx bytes : 0
# Input 3
# Rx bytes : 0

but

# xi:/home/johannes# ls /dev/snd/ -l
# total 0
# crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 0 Feb 21 16:36 controlC0
# crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 32 Feb 21 16:36 controlC1
# crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 8 Feb 21 16:36 midiC0D0
# crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 9 Feb 21 16:36 midiC0D1
# crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 40 Feb 21 16:36 midiC1D0
# crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 24 Feb 21 16:36 pcmC0D0c
# crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 16 Feb 21 16:36 pcmC0D0p
# crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 33 Feb 21 16:36 timer

There seems to be only one midi device for the 4 ports, and it is mapped
to port 1. This one works correctly. But how can I access the 3 other
ports?

I'm using yesterday's CVS snapshot of ALSA.

thanks,
 j#|@
