stereo-doubling and whatever windows does to get sound for the center. :)

Latest CVS works with bass. :) At least in stereo. Any ideas on how to get it to use
the center channel and then double to the ba

Hello,
I have patched with it, doesn't work on my Digifire 7.1, and as seen in
the ml, I have just tried the CVS tonight:
greg@localhost:~ >/usr/src/ac3play-0.5.2f/ac3play
/data/linux/dvb/from_beyond_the_edge_44k_256kbps.ac3

I would suggest you to test the current CVS.
Sorry, but latest CVS does not work. Sound is still very distorted. CVS
from 2002-12-09 12:00 works well though, which is what I'm using now :)
It is using version 1.37 alsa-kernel/pci/cs46xx/cs46xx_lib.cc.

Something has happend to the driver. I had a cvs version that worked
well but I can't find it anymore. rc6 is missing bass and rc7 produces
very distored sound. I will check in the mail archive if I can find the
patch to rc6 to make it work again.

Hi,
IIRC, the phase reversal problem (causes lack of bass) was fixed with
the patch from 2002-12-09. On 2002-12-10 a patch was released with some
corrections that worked my DMX XFire, i.e. I would try
2002-12-09.tar.bz2 from cvs
plus the patch from 2002-12-10.
An additional patch (regarding pl

I'm still needing to know if anyone's gotten a Hercules Gametheater XP to work using
ALSA so that it doesn't sound awful, and if so how. What about ANY of the hercules

Hello,
I've got a Hercules Gametheater XP which has been driving me up the wall to
try and get to work under Gentoo Linux. I used ALSA 9.0rc7 and followed the
directions from the ALSA soundcard matrix. Sadly, when I tried to test the card, the
sound was horribly distorted. (Under Wind

its an option in the configure script.
Do "./configure --help" to get a list of all the options available.
There's something like "--oss-emulation=yes"
