something wrong here, i'm a newbie. i can't find what i've forgotten :
i try to launch timidity as a alsa sequencer by typing timidity -iA
-B2,8 -Os -EFreverb=0 and it doesn't work, the program can't stop.
then i kill it and i type :
[root@localhost@localdomain root]# timidity -iA
mcop warning:
hi, i'm a total newbie, i've seen your post about
your problem, i found out there was a known issue about nforce2, alsa and ide
support ( i'm on red hat 8 )
i found there was a patch that solve ide issues in
kernel 2.4.21pre4 and more, i also found alsa kernel patch that solve alsa
support
does anyone know the patch :
alsa-bk-2002-12-18.patch
it is available in kernel patch section, i wanted
to know which kernel versions already include this patch?
thanks.
hi, i saw two messages about nforce2 chipset and
onboard sound, but i haven't understood what to do to add nforce2 support to
alsa ( i'm a big newbie )
so i've found a patch about that later, in kernel
patch section, but i don't know how to patch a kernel.
i just type patch name_of_the_patc
