Does anyone have the SB Audigy 2 working? ALSA gives no errors or
warnings that I see, but I get no sound. (I'm using kernel 2.4.18-x.).

I was using 0.9.0rc3 with Red Hat 7.3 with no problem, but 0.9.0rc3
won't compile on Red Hat 8.0. Anyone else had this problem? I can
include as much of stdout/stderr from "make" as anyone would like to see.

I installed 0.9.0rc3 of ALSA on Red Hat 7.3 (2.4.18-10 kernel) and have

a Soundblaster Live! Platinum.)
OSS worked fine. ALSA "seems" to compile with no problems. Yet
modprobe snd-card-emu10k1
results in

I am a musician and former programmer. On x86 I prefer Linux to that
other operating system. With my (lack of) knowledge, to do
sophisticated recording or MIDI on PC, I have to use that other
operating system. (I could use Mac.) I am using Red Hat 7.2 and have a
SoundBlaster Live! card.
