Hi,
I'm running Debian testing/stretch and since a few days (weeks?)
dmix refuses to work with a old SoundBlaster Live! card
when multiple applications try to play music.
Any ideas and/or hints?
The mplayer test case in two shells:
--- Shell 2: --
at both controls are connected like master and slave.
Is there a way to achieve that?

Again there's an issue with the file name, samplerate_best didn't make it to

Hi,
I have a gentoo system. 2.6.35 kernel. The machine is a ZOTAC board. Until now,
the only way to get sound working over hdmi was to use GIT alsa-drivers. Since
today this doesnt work anymore, I only have some kind of periodical clicking

attached/detached without polling the card list with

Does ALSA provide a signaling mechanism for this or is there maybe an
other Linux way to recommend?
