I had alsa running on RH 8 so I know it supports my hardware (ASUS
P4S8X), but I'm having the hardest time getting it to run under RH 9.

Last week I had xmms 1.2.7 with the alsa-xmms-0.9.11 plug-in running on
RedHat 8. I upgraded to RedHat 9 and rebuilt xmms and the 0.9.4
alsa-{driver,lib,utils}. Now, with with ALSA 0.9 output plugin
(libALSA.so) selected in xmms, I can play mp3 audio, but I hear no

I'm having trouble using Linphone 0.10.0, a SIP phone with the 0.9.2
alsa drivers. This is a RH 8.0 system running on an ASUS P4S8X board
with on-board SiS7012 audio.
