I got myself a "Zoltrix Nightingale" with optical module for optical
spdif input and output, which is cmi 8738 based.
Alsa-driver 0.9.8 compiled fine and was installed without problems.
Normal audio playback via speakers or via coaxial and optical spdif
works like a charm, too.

I'm currently looking for an alsa supported soundcard with working spdif
input (optical input preferred).
I'd like to record stuff from an external source and have a look at the
