I have the aforementioned Z1 card and it works juts fine in Ubuntu 18.04
under pulseaudio. But not via ALSA. Here are some details:

Playback/recording through the PulseAudio sound server

Traktor Kontrol Z1, USB
I'm writing a simple word recognizer program. And to use my algorithm i
need tout cet the amplitudes of the voice. Does anyone knows how to decode
data in the buffer?

i get this problem and somebody help me.
I get no surroundsound if i play dvd´s ( with xine or ogle ). If i
config the player for 6 channel output the sound i get is scrambled.
I use alsa0.9rec3 and the kernel 2.4.20pre7. My card is a C-Media
cmi8738-MC6.
I try to write a asound.conf to

there some configuration step I forgot or is there some problem with
the alsa-driver which keeps my joystick from working ? Anyways, I

This is a follow up on the "no sound from front speakers" problem.
To recap: I've upgraded from 0.5 to 0.9.0b10a, and lost PCM from my
front speakers.
Rear speakers are fine, other inputs are fine. I thought the problem
was with the mixer, and Jesse sent me his asound.state; that didn't
help,
...
Anybody knows what's going on?

I was using Alsa 0.5 with my CT4830 just fine, and now upgraded to Linux
2.4.17 and Alsa Beta10a.
I only hear any sound out of the rear speakers.
I made sure the "Control.42" (Master Playback Switch) is ON in

I am running Alsa-Driver-0.5.11. I am using my onboard soundcard VIA 8233.
But the quality of mp3 files played under linux is not comparable to the
same file played with win. Is somebody else experiencing this effect? Any
suggestions how to improve the sound quality?
