between two soundcards so that one is slightly faster than the other. Hence I
thought that one card must have slightly shorter callback times (e.g. an
average 2,62ms for one card and an average 2,65 ms for the other). Correct me
if I´m wrong.

ize since 48 kHz at 256 samples/frame is still ok in terms
of network conditions. Otherwise effects of network jitter mess the stream up.
So in turn I wouldn't mind having a *very* specific solution since this topic
is in fact very specific.
Thanks for the help so far,

However, so far I havn't understood why the devices requires another 2,6 ms
latency for the playout : If a captured buffer of 128 sampels is already there
why can't the device use each of its samples successively and play it out
directly ?
Thanks in advance for clarification

Hej !
I just bought a little USB soundcard called Soundblaster MP3+ which seems
not to work with ALSA.
Everything's installed (snd-usb-audio is loaded) and works for the USB
Quattro f.e. but with the Soundblaster MP3+ it says

You would use some ALSA or OSS mixer to set the appropriate volume.

Hi to all,
I have an iBook I want to install ALSA on. I already had a running
version (the one with the internal speaker bug - no sound) which worked
fine with my USB Quattro. In order to fix this bug I tried to install the
latest CVS-version which causes trouble. It says :

Hi to all,
I´m new to ALSA and I´m about to install it. I
followed a tutorial in which I am at the point to modify my
modules.conf
I commented every line that pointed on the old SND
driver that they went to AUTOCLEAN state but they stay in that so I can´t run
the ALSASOUND START.
