I have a question regarding the Midisport 4x4. And i'll try to be as
complete as possible to place my question.
Now, the 4x4 is on the hardware list, and there it says that it is
supported, but in a discussion on the another list I came to the
conclusion that the 4x4 needs to load

I have bombed out on getting smart enough to enable more than 8 usb
based audio devices to work on FC4, despite some help from others. My
question is "Does Fedora Core 5 include in the default installation the
newest ALSA driver that will see more than 8 of my USB video/audio

I found this old beauty and because of its incredible sound I thought
about using it as a MP3-Device in my hi-fi-system. It runs great with
windows 95 (midi_io 0x330, midi_irq 9, wave_io 0x534, wave_irq 5,
wave_dma 0,1) but thats not what I am aiming for. Just to make clear
