I recently bought a Tascam US-122, and thus far I can get the sound in to work
and have it play through the speakers, but I have blank mixers, if they load
at all.
Forgive my newbie-acity for a moment, if you would, and let me ask if maybe

I have two sound cards. According to the best documentation I've
found, to set the default alsa soundcard, I must insert the
following in $HOME/.asoundrc:
pcm.!default {
type hw
card 2
}
ctl.!default {
type hw
card 2
}
But this works only for alsa-
I have been trying to get MIDI to work on my 8738-chip based
soundcard. I have tried passing the option mpu_port=0x300 and
mpu_port=0x330, but to no avail. Has anyone had any success with MIDI
on this card? I've looked on google, and any questions people asked
