Apologies for my persistence but is this feature

Hi!
I'm having trouble getting wavetable MIDI working on my Soundblaster Awe 64
Value edition PnP. With the help of sbiload I can get OPL3 MIDI. Using
sfxload I can get some kind of wavetable MIDI (too few instruments?) by
loading a 2 megabyte soundfont file into the 512k of on-board RAM.

sound drivers are working, because mplayer works. I would like to rule
out ALSA as an issue.

Does anybody have AC3/DTS passthrough via S/PDIF working with intel8x0?
All I get is "format AC3 are not supported by hardware".
I'm using Linux 2.6.5 & ALSA 1.0.4. Normal 2 channel sound works both
via analog and S/PDIF but I'm unable to get AC3 passthrough to work.

Hi all,
This is my first post to list, so I hope this is not a
common question, at least I didn't find an answer
while searching archives.
Is it possible to swap front/rear channels when using
emu10k card (sb Live!)?? Rear channel uses better
DAC's, so I'm doing for this for sound quality.

I'm trying to get a FM801-AU based Card working with my Dolby Receiver. The
card has optical spdif connector. If I unmute IEC958 in alsamixer the lights
go on and the optical output seems to be activated. However, I can't playback
anything. Here is what I do:
