Hi, >Is it possible to swap front/rear channels when using >emu10k card (sb Live!)?? Rear channel uses better >DAC's, so I'm doing for this for sound quality. There isn'such options, but you can use front end rear channels independent. Never SB Lives uses AC97 for all channels (there is not other DAC).
Use front and rear devices. For example for aplay aplay -D front some.wav aplay -D rear some.wav Also you don't need this aound.conf (I think it should be .asoundrc) hw:0,x are very card specific For example on some card hw:0,0 can be front channels and hw:0,1 rear chanels but for SB Live this is not true (hw:0,0 is normal pcm and hw:0,3 is used for AC3 passthrough. Use front and rear devices instead (there are more of them - center_lfe, surround40, surround51, spdif), and try not to use hw:0,x directlly, if you don't know how there are working.
