I'm new to the list, although not new to alsa. I've been using alsa on
my linux box at work since version 0.9.6 and I'm very pleased with it.
However, I'm having no luck getting alsa to work on my box at home. The
difference? At work I use snd-cs4236 and at home I'm using snd-intel8x0.

HELP! This is driving me completely nuts!
I've been using versions of alsa with different installs of linux for
years and have never run into a problem like this before: I can't seem
to get the sequencer (external midi) to work with alsa on my mandrake

Hi,
Today I upgraded to 2.6.5 because I thought it may help me in solving my
problem with my soundcard. But it doesnt. It still exists. Mic and
Line-Out are ok. But my Line-In is not working. I need it to record sound
which comes from my turntables. Following are some informations about my
card.

Hi,
I've just compiled a 2.6.5 kernel on my Debian/Sid and the alsa drivers
work fine.
But I can't heard an audio CD with xmms or alsaplayer.
When I run alsaplayer (as user or root) I get the same message:
~$ alsaplayer
Failed to load output plugin "alsa". Trying defaults.

Hello,
I have a question regardin the latest versions of ALSA: I noticed a little
module called snd-intel8x0m which is to drive the internal modem in a AC'97
motherboard. I have such a board and therefore I compiled the module. It
compiles correctly, and loads without any warnings... bu

Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible, using one of the configuration
files, to "hide" or "remove" channels in the mixer.
As it is, there are 36 channels, of which I use 3. I have no need for
the others, and I don't want to have to scroll through them.
Is it possible to hide them?
Thanks!
