alsa was working fine but when i installed my new kernel and build the alsa 0.9.8
driver and modprobe it this is what i get:
modprobe snd-es18xx port=0x220 irq=5 mpu_port=0x330 dma1=0 dma2=1 isapnp=0 enable=1
/lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/sound/isa/snd-es18xx.o: unresolved symbol snd_dma_poin
I have two 4 channel cards.
So far I have had success combining the two PCMs on one card like:
pcm.c1b {
type multi;
slaves.a.pcm "hw:0,0";
slaves.a.channels 2;
slaves.b.pcm "hw:0,1;

I using Alsa 0.9.8 on Gentoo Linux and I'm having a problem with the
emu10k1 driver. I tried to get some help in the Gentoo forums regarding
this as they're usually quite helpful however for this issue, there
appears to be no help.
Here is the problem. Any time I utilize the alsa drive
