ok,
i'm making some progress (forcing ogle to go to dev 0 subdev

BUT i can't seem to get any AC3 audio on my amp, and i think
it's because the card(and/or driver) won't change the
"Original" setting
i hacked iecset and added
iec958.status[1]=0x82;
(which sets IEC958_AES1_CON_ORI
sorry, but i'm still stuck.
mplayer doesn't work w/ -ao alsa9
aplay works w/ -D hw:0,0 and hw:0,2

Hi,
I've recently install the new alsa 1.0.0pre
(alsa-drivers-1.0.0pre2,alsa-lib-1.0.0pre1, alsa-oss-1.0.0pre1),for a intel8x0
chipset. Everything seems to work fine except with "quake III": the sound is horribly
jerky. I'm running on a 2.6.0-test9 kernel, with oss-support enabled and I've pass
Hi ALSA folks,
the alsactl segfault I've previously reported is still happening with
alsa-driver 1.0.0pre2 + alsa-* 1.0.0pre1 (installed from the sources).
- `alsactl store` or `alsactl restore` from the init process are segfaulting,
I can also see an oops in /var/log/message.

Hi.
I've compiled kernel-2.6-test6 with alsa.
I use snd-via82xx module and oss emulation
to play mp3-s in xmms.
Here is the problem:
Sometimes the sound begins to jingle and I feel
that the song plays faster. It lasts for 2 or 3
seconds two or three times a minute and is very
annoying.
I don't know

I just installed last dev release 1.0-pre1 (with alsa-driver-1.0-pre2).
Technical data of my hardware and system configurations are at the end of t
