the IEC958 control is assigned to device 0. well, it's not nice to have such an incosistency. but usually it's no problem because the difference is absobed in the alsa-lib's configuration if the application simply opens the device via "spdif" pcm (as xine or mplayer does). ogle seems to set up all things by itself, and hits this problem.
