I recently upgraded my kernel to a planet CCRMA one with win4lin as
well.
When I installed Alsa again from src.rpm and ran /sbin/alsaconf I get
the following messege No supported pnp or pci card found.
Of course I had Alsa working superbly prior to this.
I have a soundblaster live.

I just installed the alsa driver 0.9.4 without running into any problems. I went to
load the module for my sound card which is "snd-cmipci", and it came back with the

I have a VIA 8235 and the kernel driver loads with no errors. amixer,
aplay all run with no errors. doing a yes 1 > /dev/adsp or /dev/dsp runs
with no errors. The problem is that there is no sound. I tried using

Just a little niggle building RPMS from cvs on a machine without an
older alsa-lib installed.
alsa-lib fails to build, missing header alsa/asoundlib.h. There isn't
one already installed in /usr/include/alsa, and the alsa-lib tree itself
has the header just in an include directory, not inc

I have Gentoo Linux, kernel 2.4.20, alsa-0.9.4 and sound card (from
lspci)
01:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: IC Ensemble Inc ICE1712 [Envy24] (rev 02).
I can listen music, but I can not record from mic.
I turned on almost all in mixer and I can hear thru speakers what I say to mic.
