[Alsa-user] Sound choppy and clicking, echoing

Hi group, I have installed alsa 0.9 (have intel8x0) and it works fine for playing mp3s and wavs. However when I try to watch video, the sound is fine for about 15 seconds and then gets worse and worse until it is choppy, clicking and reverberating... totally awful. If I quickly pause and play agai

just to give a brief rundown of the situation with quake3 and teamspeak. I have alsa installed, its fuly functional as far as i can tell. i hear sound, i can run teamspeak (alone) and communicate. altho the mic boost seems to be turned off. how can i turn this on? i have to scream to be heard :) n

Yes! I have been having problems with the ALSA site for most of this week. Also, the problems seem to be somewhat localized, as a friend of mine (5 miles away) has been able to get in when I have not. (Thus it doesn't surprise me that some see problems where other don't.) I have no explanation

Is anything wrong with alsa-project.org? For the best part of a week now I have been unable to get any response from it. The domain www.alsa-project.org resolves to 160.217.1.49, but ping reports "100% packet loss" and my browser (links) complains "No route to host". Is anyone else getting this
