just to give a brief rundown of the situation with quake3 and teamspeak. I have alsa installed, its fuly functional as far as i can tell. i hear sound, i can run teamspeak (alone) and communicate. altho the mic boost seems to be turned off. how can i turn this on? i have to scream to be heard :) n

Yes! I have been having problems with the ALSA site for most of this week. Also, the problems seem to be somewhat localized, as a friend of mine (5 miles away) has been able to get in when I have not. (Thus it doesn't surprise me that some see problems where other don't.) I have no explanation
