No, it's not next. I don't have my Quattro yet, but I explicitly
asked here and on pd-list, if the firmware stuff is needed on it as
well, and I got the answer, that it is no

Hi,
I'm trying to get my Edirol UM-2 USB Midi adapter to work but I'm only partly
successful. I'm running RC7 on a 2.4.20 SMP kernel (SMP-System). The adapter
is loaded as 3rd soundcard via snd-usb-audio. It seems to get loaded
correctly since I ca

Ivica,
Welcome to _MY_ nightmare!!! I've been dealing with this for months!!
Actually, your nightmare is a little different, but in my version, just
before the Frankenstein monster shows up, my HDSP 9652 won't initialize, the
system saying it doesn't have enough memory. Then, just as the mon

Hi all,
I was just wondering how can I force snd-usb-midi to assume device 2

Ok so I can`t get past the first step.
I have RedHat 7.3 (which has the kernel 2.1.4.7 or something? whatever the
newest one is I think). Do I need to mess with the kernel to turn on usb
or is it already accommodated? I can`t make heads or tails of the kernel
how-to but maybe i could figure it out
more info. the "can't find module sound-slot-1" occurs with gnome audio recorder. it

Hi,
If I use xmms or some other stereo programs, sound is only at the front

I do with the center?
I've found some introductions to the .asoundrc, but i didn't understand it.

I am running kernel 2.2.23 and I have two sound cards : Hercules
Gamesurround Fortissimo II and an older Opti924 ISA card.
I got alsa-driver-0.9.0rc7.
In kernel I have enabled sound support, OSS support and Plug'n'Play
support. (ofcourse, loadable modules).
With alsa-driver:
