The Kernel is a 2.4.19 and the alsa-drivers are 0.9.0rc6.

is the A7N266-VM motherboard (nForce-based) w/ digital output supported
by ALSA? I've got such a board, and I can't get SPDIF to work, and it
would be nice to know if it's suppose to work before digging too deep.
