Greetings all,
I just became the proud owner of a shiny new Delta 1010, and was
wondering if anyone successfully using this card could email me their
.asoundrc file. Yes, I know I could do this myself, but I'm lazy.
Thanks a lot,
dgm

Hi,
I've been using Alsa 0.5.x on the Linux 2.4.13 kernel successfully for
some time now. I recently upgraded to Linux 2.4.16 and decided to try the
development Alsa 0.9. The Alsa drivers do not recognize my sound card
anymore. I had this same problem with Linux 2.4.14 and Alsa 0.5.10b
which I
Iam currently running Slackware 8 and the lastest alsa-0.9.0-beta10a
drivers with a SB live 5.1,
they work great apart from I ve noticed that the bass and treble sliders
on any mixer program (including alsamixer) don't actually alter the bass
or treble volume at all.
Is there anything I have to
Does anyone know how to get ALSA to work with a trident 4DWAVE on
mandrake 8.0?

The other thing that I wonder about is something I picked up from the
PnP howto. It mentions that with non-PnP OS (Linux) the motherboard
will configure resources for PnP cards and that the drivers have to
figure out what happend. Can anyone tell me how to tell what the MB

hello,
i had 0.9.0beta6 going successfully with ice1712 and mpu401 drivers on a
RH 6.2 (kernel 2.2.15) intel system. last week it seemed necessary to
'upgrade' to RH 7.2 (kernel 2.4.7), so i rebuilt 0.9.0beta6 drivers and
libs and successfully installed them. now, when called by aplay or any

Hello,
just out of curiosity I played with arecord yesterday
and tried several sampling rates on my M-Audio Audiophile 2496
(ice1712 chipset). Now I'm confused about two things:
1. I always thought soundcards are limited two a few
fixed sampling rates (8000, 11025, 22050, 44100,...).
