Depends on the distance. 1-2 miles: Wave Pro 60ghz dish with built in 5ghz
backup. Works freaking amazing.
Longer distance will require actual equipment like Aviat or similar.

At 4 miles, 11 GHz would be a good choice. You’re going to pay for frequency
coordination and FCC licensing, I wouldn’t cheap out on the equipment, get
something you’d be happy to put on the shelf and redeploy after a year. If you
get Aviat radios and antennas, you shouldn’t have a problem fin
So 18Ghz, or in very rain-heavy areas 11GHz. Find a way to make Aviat
pricing work, or go with a used dual-polarity 1.2gbit Cambium PTP8x0 from
SurplusWirelessGear or others.

Just under 4 miles.

Not sure if Cambium has the PTP version of their 6 GHz ePMP out yet. I feel
like 4 miles is kind of long for unlicensed 6 GHz given the EIRP limit, but
you’d have to do the math or run it through LinkPlanner.

Once upon a time, I had a 11 GHZ emergency license that could be deployed
anywhere nationwide at any time for any link. Not sure how they handled
interference. I am sure that system no longer exists. It was for common
carriers. Talking 40 years ago.

I'm putting in a bid to deliver a 1G symmetric dedicated circuit. What are
my options for PtP gear that can accomplish this? I was thinking AF11, but
their advertising is misleading as it looks like (at least in the US) it
can do just under 700M. This is a 12 month commitment, so Aviat is probably
You can get the equipment back at the end of the contract, right?
