[AFMUG] DirecTV streaming requires 24 month contract?

Streaming services seem to be testing how far they can crank up the price before people cancel, but IMHO the one good thing about streaming is they are all month-to-month services. The free trials have mostly disappeared, but you can cancel any time. So help me understand the DirecTV streaming
