I work with a Business WOW!/Astound connection on Coax. I see about
400-500kb/s ~800pps continuous of Broadcast ARP Traffic coming in the
connection. That's not normal, is it? Basically, ARP Requests for
every IP address on the Cable plant. Shouldn't the cable modem be
filtering those, even
I am moving my steel racks to an outdoor pad. To keep water off them I am
planning to build a tall, skinny, 3 sided lean-to with an open front and a roll
down curtain.
16’ tall, 5 feed deep, 32’ wide.
It will be placed against one of the walls of my building.
I presume I can just use 16’
IP-> Firewall can't make a rule to match ARP, but a bridge->Filter can. You
can't match IP's if you select "ARP" as the layer2 protocol to match, but
there might be another way to make it work. Maybe match broadcast
destinations and add a packet mark then follow up with an IP->Firewall rule

Sounds like a really tall carport.
We have a tower shelter that was done “temporarily” with OSB and exterior
paint. It’s been “temporary” for 8 years waiting for someone to go back with
real siding. The same paint is still holding up so far, but I don’t know what
the real longevity will b
The OSB will absorb moisture when it's painted unless you do something
to fill the crevices. Putting roofing felt + siding over it will weather
proof it for sure.
Is there something to keep water/wind out of the 32x16 opening? A door?
A curtain?

OSB will absorb humidity when the paint inevitably fails.
theres a ton of calculators on your 16' tall walls but really its your
corners that will do the work. If the whole 32' width is open face, youll
need a substantial header, steel probably. Especially if its sporting a
curtains weight

If you’re going to put siding on later, then why not OSB and Tyvek? You see
remodels in progress for multiple years with nothing but Tyvek protecting the
sheathing. Or paint + Tyvek for the belt & suspenders approach.

This is similar to what I am doing. So I can use the racking in lieu of roof
trusses.
Maybe I will simply copy this design. And not use wood except for the end
pieces.

Any consensus on locators? We need to buy a new one too. The only one I
really know is the T5. We don't do a ton of locates so it doesn't need to
be too high end.

there is also the vermeer lin of locators. massive option set, LM42 is
pretty efficient and can find most things in the ISP domain. SPX25 is good
for locating shallower thing. stuff like the 10x15 or 20x22 utility locator
are surprisingly accurate for it having to be pretty pinpoint. But if you
