I have a 700' and 800' empty, but water filled, 1.25"duct I need to get
fiber through (No pull line). My Rodder is only 600' Is there anyplace
that would rent a 1000' rodder for a couple days? We tried to shop vac
it out, but just not enough pull to get the water out over that
distance. Are
I built a 200 psi water pump and have a blowing carrot with a Y fitting on
it. I also made a little piston with cup seals on it but you could probably
just make something out of plastic or wood. Then you attach mule tape and
pump this thing down the duct. You can even install fiber with it.
Do you have a water hose nearby?
Water flowing through the pipe could carry a string/parachute down the way.
You'd have to find a way to secure the water hose to the conduit but you can
probably figure that out.

Or a fire hydrant? You can get a hydrant meter from the city to use hydrant
water.

We could try pushing it through. We thought that would be a foolish
endeavor, but we can try. I know how well pushing electric wire works,
but the fiber is stiffer.
