A newspaper article had a politician stating that something was “beyond the
pale”. I understood the phrase from just growing up here and hearing it now
and then – but then I got to thinking about it. Did I really understand the
phrase? What is a pale? Does something make you pale if it is be
This would make an awesome ISP name.

Wonder how much stuff gets damaged during a strike like that.
I know some of the TV and FM broadcasters have devices that actually disconnect
the transmitter from the transmission line during a strike.

Path of least resistance. Maybe some dust particles swirling about or
something making it a better conductive path? There is probably a thesis
written on it somewhere. What do you know?

This might be the brave new world. But if they can fix this they can
probably fix the common cold. So there is that.
Watched a grandson's soccer game this morning. I was the only one at the

Everybody likes their beer cold. Most places are too cheap to buy enough
freezer space to keep glasses called. If you pour cold draft beer in a warm
glass, it doesn't take long to heat up. As result most people just sell the
bottles.

Maybe I'm the only person on the planet who didn't already know this, but it
turns out that Zoro is a Grainger company. Or their consumer online sales
arm, while Grainger is mostly B2B.
I got curious because an order from Zoro had a Grainger label on it, so I
googled it.

Thanks for the enlightenment guys!
Desire to consume beer cold understood; Texas does have occasional warm days,
doesn’t it? High temp here today 73º (F)
Out of curiosity, I’ll begin keeping track here how many glasses arrive frozen,
refrigerated, or room temp.
Cheers!

If you abandon a cart right before you submit the order you will sometimes get
a reminder a half hour later with a 15% discount. Odd, Grainger is generally
