Push comes to shove and I can get a pretty smooth cut with my
portable band saw. That is the quickest. Edge is a little ragged,
but is easily cleaned up. The pipe cutting tool still does a
better cut.

I've been using a cutoff wheel on a cordless angle grinder. I get much
smoother cuts than I used to with a sawsall. If I need more perfect
straightness than freehand gets me, then I'll wrap a strip of paper
around the pipe and run a wide marker around the edge of the paper. If

Thanks. I guess I am going to find out how this works. Should have done some

I use a conduit cutter available from home depot and others. It looks like
the tool you use for copper tubing but is designed for EMT. See

example.I'd go to home depot/lowes and

Simple 90 degree stubs come out fine using the marks and dimensions on the
bender. More complicated bends like saddles and S bends and non 90 degree
angles probably take more skill. Or that little jog to get conduit that is
flush to a wall up a fraction

I use a pipe cutter like this. It makes a straight cut and has a
fold-out de-burring thingy.

The other approach would be to get the whole setup for cutting and threading
rigid or IMC and use that instead of EMT. You ca

What is the best way to cut and deburr emt?
Normally I use a sawsall with a hack saw blade in it.
Never notice what really proficient electricians use.
Sawzall or porta-band.
I will give that a try. I would think a unibit would snag?
