Yeah, but the difference is that when I'm climbing, I'm not standing on a
pile of loose pipes with nothing to hold on to. Being on a high structure
with something solid to hang on to, with or without a harness, doesn't
bother me... standing on the very top of something where there's nothing

Out of 3500 workers on the Empire State Building somewhere between 5-14
of them died. The reports aren't even consistent for some reason. The
"official" number was 5, but one
I wear a harness every time I climb but I've never had an issue where using
one saved me or my guys.
So when I see someone working without a harness, while I feel scared for
them, I know the reality is that 99.5%
of these people will be just fine.
