Does anybody know if the TDP clients are support on an
AS400 server? There doesn't seem to be server license
settings for these products as there is for an NT
server.

I believe the BMR server is only supported on an HP,
AIX, or Solaris platform (Unix). You will need a Unix
machine to support BMR.

Except in this case the restore client is newer 3.7
versus 3.1 than the backup client.

With the 3.1 back/rest client there was a "skip"
button that was handy for skipping files as the
process was running. Does this feature not exist with

firewall. The clients are inside the firewall, the
server outside. I have TCP ports 1500 and 1501 enabled
through the router and client backups seem to work OK
using. I'd like to use the backup web client, but I'm

We are in the process of upgrading from TSM 4.2.2 on
AIX 4.3 to TSM 5.2 on AIX 5.1. The path we are
following is similiar to what Paul outlines.I also
recommend the opsys upgrade take place before the TSM
upgrade. We plan to finish the jump to 5.2.2 this
weekend.
First we upgraded to AIX 5.1
Last weekend I completed upgrading TSM from 4.2.3 to
5.2.2. The upgrade went very smoothly and with hardly
any problems. I do have three issues so far.
