I have a few Clients HP/NT using both NB and TSM, the
only problem would be(or what I have seen is) running
the backups at the same time.(while using the same NIC
makes it even more wonderful).
I would suggest running the backups at different
times.

You have to do it manually, unless mtlib has a
wonderful way of doing it I don't know about.

Are the Domino servers using "Archive" logging or
Cirrcular?

Don't know if this was mentioned.
You can add additional stanzas in your dsm.sys file to
connect to the server as the (retired) server .
You will need to reset the password for the
clientnode, and admin account for that node at the
Server.

dsmc -se=retirednodename

"help select" at the command line should get you

There are some basic get you started statements there.

Have a mail file with what appears to be a space(maybe 4) in it?
Tried the "unsupported" dsmnotes q contents command, no luck to many lines to dig

Matthew,
We sure do! I don't suggest it!
TSM V4.2.1.15(Server)

Ed,
Each business gets a different discount. I can tell ya what the list prices are:
3494 D12 : 35K
2109 (Switch) : 80,440 K
Don't have in hand what the original price is for the tape drives, I can tell ya
that our B1A to H1A upgrade will cost 20K a pop(list).
Talk to your rep about discounts,
As long as the Library retains the same IP address in the ibmatl.conf file.
If not, you will have to edit accordingly.

Ed - Bill,
There is a way to do this. We have a 32way 690, only 18
partitions/nodes/clients(whatever ya wanna call em, I call virtnodez) backing up
DB2.
The 18 p/n/c have the DB2 database spread across multiple sharks adding up to about
2TB for this DB, each p/n/c has a partition at about 180GB o
Muthyam,
Lotza things you could look at:
DSM.SYS file check the parmaters, do they make sense or jive with your OS settings?
Check the archives for TSM to OS tuning, I've caught a lot of good articles there!
Is compression on? Lotz of work on the client to do that.
What is your backbone? GBit/C
I keep getting this error:
root@buffy

mtlib: A host id must be specified.
been a few years.
