We have two STK 9740s shared between three ADSM servers and a HP V class based
in-housed HSM solution. The 9740s are connected via a pass-thru slot, one 9740
has 9 DLT7000 drives and the other has 6 DLT7000s. The ADSM servers are SP
nodes running AIX 4.3.3 and ADSM 3.1.2.40. We have a single ACSL
nformation on non-*SM products
that they can share.

on. We have 21 TSM servers in production and all of our clients are tier 2
or 3 servers. Considering the amount of data we push each day it's pretty
reliable. Our tape drives have 50 times the # of problems as any code we
run. And so, the grass is not greener on the Veritas side
ck solid on their Novell servers and are
extremely pleased.

We had a significant amount of files which we restored to the DOS

We have had the same problem, Tivoli is looking into it. Our Novell Admin had
to manually reapply the trustee rights.
We also had an problem with restoration of "long name" files, *SM 3.7 does not
always restore to the long pathname. Tivoli is also looking into this issue for
us.
Needless to say

Adam,
We were only doing incrementals and we had a situation where we had to restore a
Novell server.
The restore had to go through two years worth of incremental tapes to complete
the restore. I would

I have a Sun OS 5.8 / TSM 5.2 client exhibiting strange behavior. All non-system

Any assistance with timestamp formatting would be greatly appreciated.
