According to the tivoli site:
http://www.tivoli.com/products/index/storage_mgr/storage_mgr_concepts.html
DB2 Lan-free is available. I thought it wasn't available yet.
Any ideas whether this is true or not?
Richard.

to define one tape drive to a library. Mount a
tape in the drive (if possible) and then use mtlib to see which tape drive
has got that tape mounted. Repeat for each drive.
Surely there is a simpler way???

Try a "db2adutl query" to check the api -> server connectivity.

Thanks Dave,
After endless discussions with various people we understand that PPRC will
propogate partially written pages to both mirrors. Therefore like you, we
have decided to recommend TSM mirroring to the customer.

The file_size in the contents table is the aggregate size (if in use). If
you look at each row in the table you will see something like the
following. The 1/5, 2/5 in the AGGREGATED field indicates that 5 files
make up the aggregate, their total size is 3661 bytes.
VOLUME_NAME: C:\TSMDATA\SE

with the TSM server. Has anyone seen this before? We
have tried all sorts of TSM clients with no joy. This is currently with
the DB2 developers in Toronto.
Has anyone done this before on these specific versions?

Config:
TSM Server v4.2 running on AIX
8 x 3590 FC attached drives
TSM Client v4.2 running on NT. BA client and storage agent v4.2.
I'm trying to setup LAN-free on an NT client. I've done all the config as
follows:
all zoning so that client and server can see FC drives
installed storage agent
Solved it!!. Ive just stopped and restarted the storage agent process.
I now have library and drive definitions on the storage agent - which I
didn't have before.
