Paul,
Archives can be deleted from within the TSM BA client GUI if the node has the
right to perform this operation (by default this is the case).

Kurt

Hello,
I was starting my TSM maintenance script (TSM server 5.3.2 on AIX 5.3) with
the following sql query to make sure that the backups were finished. If the
backups are still running, the script is rescheduled 15 minutes later.
/* Maintenance script*/

Tim,
The audit does indeed require that the volume is in the library.
If it is a copy storage pool volume, you just can delete it with the option
discarddata=yes. The files that were on the volume will be included in the
next backup of the primary storage pools.

Kurt

Efim,
Thanks for the suggestion, I will give it a go but can't test it right now.
A session openend by a storage agent will be of the 'SERVER' type and thus
not be detected by the sql query?
Best regards,
Kurt

Hello,
I've got a question about the setup of a library client and manager. Both
TSM servers are of the version 5.3.2 and run on AIX.
* The library manager would run on TSM server A that has access to the
library across the SAN.
* The library client would run on TSM server B and has no acces
data over the SAN and tracks
the tapes it uses, in it's own database. Server B volhist shows the tape
as being in "REMOTE" status, i.e. used by another server.
